British Hen Welfare Trust Re-homing Day 24/06/2018

Another 500+ hens saved from slaughter today, re-homed by the British Hen Welfare Trust at Overton!

An early start to collect the hens from the farm at 8am then a drive to the collection point at Overton where we spent the next hour or so getting the hens unloaded and settled into the marquee. The next few hours flew by as the re-homers arrived to collect their hens and take them to their free range life.

In total 511 hens were re-homed that day – a fantastic number – and a thoroughly rewarding day!
