Today was the annual greenhouse clean, so that it’s in tip top shape for the new season. This was a combined autumn and spring clean, as we’d been a bit lax at the end of last year, but a good half day was all it took with a pressure washer to freshen it up. Everything was cleared out and sorted, all slugs and snails removed, and all glass, framework, benches and floor given a thorough clean. The clean pots and plants were put back and the greenhouse is now sparkling and ready for the seedlings to be plated. The aim is to keep it like that as long as possible, though given that we used the greenhouse last year as a hospital area for some of the hens when they needed some peace and quiet, the immaculate pots and clean floor may not stay that way for too long!
